Julian Aguilar – Treasurer
Born and raised in Chicago, Julian Aguilar has spent a little over 7 years working at some capacity in Republican politics. At Illinois Wesleyan University he was the president of the College Republicans, interned for Illinois House Republican Organization, and worked on a host of campaigns including Dan Brady for State Representative, Rodney Davis for Congress, and Darin LaHood’s first congressional campaign during the 2015 Special Election. He has been a member of the Chicago Young Republicans since 2018 and is thrilled to serve as the chapter’s treasurer.
He now serves as a Grassroots Engagement Director for Americans for Prosperity where he gets to further his passion for economic freedom, civil liberties, and school choice in a way that is impactful and engages residents throughout the state of Illinois.
In 2020 he served as one of the Republican National Committee’s regional directors in New York assisting the campaign efforts of Lee Zeldin, ensuring that Peter King’s seat remained red, and flipping New York’s 11th Congressional District (the lone Republican district that is in the city of New York). During that year he also represented Illinois as a delegate for the national convention and worked on the Illinois GOP’s platform committee.
Passionate about turning Illinois red he continues to volunteer with candidates and serves as Consurge Strategies’ field strategist.
Outside of politics Julian is a season ticket holder of the Indianapolis Colts (at least it is not the Green Bay Packers) and his favorite sports team is the United States National Soccer Team. He believes the team will win the next FIFA World Cup.
